Below are some numbers you can call in the UK if you are struggling. If you've managed to find this blog from outside the UK if you google search "mental health helplines" there will be ones for your county.

I personally have found using Samartains very helpful. They are good at listening and help you work through problems by talking. They don't give advice but sometimes just being heard can make your problem feel more ok that it's going on. At least for me I very much find this the case.

A local mental health charity to me also have a crisis helpline called "Nightlight Crisis Helpline". I have used this number before and felt better after speaking to them and I've heard from others that they have been very helpful. The helpline I believe is more for people in the county of Hertfordshire. Unfortunately, I don't think it's a national helpline but there might be other mental health helplines in your local area.

If you're in a mental health crisis there is also the single point of access (which is the NHS number that can offer support). I believe there is a different phone number based on the UK county involved.
